@09nabila ‘classic’ refers to the 6th generation ipod. the 6th generation ipod isn’t available in white. its silver or black. the 6th generation was given the “classic” retronym because it was announced alongside the newer ipod touch. Since the touch is completely new, and is a sort of replacement for the original “iPod,” the 6th generation ipod was labeled with “classic” Although the previous generation are a similar style, they were not given the “classic” label when they were released.

@1243213 Before the 6th generation ipod “classic” came out, apple changed the name of 80gb to classic.
